Opening soon in the downtown space that was once home to The Rusty Bucket, is The Spice & Tea Exchange. This specialty store will feature an array of hand-mixed seasonings; spice blends for seafood, meats, curries, dips, and other uses; oil and extracts; salts, sugars, and honeys; and a wide and varied assortment of loose-leaf teas to sample at the Tea Bar as well as to take home and enjoy. A major site plan has been submitted for a medium-density residential townhome development to be built on six acres on North Salem Street near the intersection of Greenlea Drive. Plans call for 36 units: 9 two-bedroom townhomes and 27 three-bedroom townhomes.

Peak Landing—Update
We first mentioned Peak Landing, a PUD in the works for Old US Hwy 1, back in February 2020. Those early plans were for 60 homes on 28 acres. Revised plans as of August 2023 are for 73 single-family homes ranging in size from 2,500 to 2,800 square feet.
