Lightbridge Academy of Apex::
Lightbridge Academy is a child care facility with locations throughout New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and New York. The furthest location south was in Virginia Beach…until now.
Lightbridge Academy has a goal of opening in early 2020 as part of the Sweetwater complex in Apex being built at the southwest corner of Jenks Rd and Hwy 64, about 1 mile west of Hwy 64 and 540. The facility is being built by local Apex couple Brian and Rebecca Grovenstein. Brian comes from IT, and Rebecca is currently a teacher.
Moorhous Building:
The Moorhous Building will be located at the corner of Laura Duncan Rd. and Hunter St. The top level of the 4-story building will be a mix of one-
and two-bedroom condos, with a square foot range of 900 to 1,400 square feet. There will be eight units available.
The first floor will be retail, and the next two floors will be office space. Completion is expected in 2020.
Cedar Crossing:
Plans have been submitted to the town for a new development called Cedar Crossing located at 433 New Hill Olive Chapel Road. The plans include 90 single family home sites on 36.2 acres. Homes would range from 1300-2400 square feet and be priced from 330K – 430K.
Marco’s Pizza:
Marco’s Pizza is coming to Publix Pointe! Their menu includes salads, subs, wings, and freshly-made pizzas. Marco’s will offer both carry-out and delivery options. Stay tuned for opening day and hours.
The Grumpy Barbers:
Matt Martin and Michael Collins are bringing their 20+ years as barbers to their own shop located at 729 Hunter Street. As of March 13th, the Grumpy Barbers have been offering: men and boy’s haircuts, beard trims, color services as well as hot lather straight-razor face shaves.
Hours of operation are Tuesday 9-6, Wednesday 9-5, Thursday & Friday 9-7, and Saturday 9-3. Call or go online to make an appointment!
Freedom Square:
An small general shopping plaza and gas station has been approved for the corner of Green Level West Road and Green Level Church Road.
The initial project will include almost 24,000 square feet of 1-story general retail, including a 3,200 square-foot convenience store. There will also be 12 pump stations for fuel. There is a Phase II listed on the plans for an additional 8,000 square-foot retail structure.
Enterprise Rent-a-Car:
Enterprise has moved down Highway 55 to a new, bigger location. You can now find them at 1303 E. Williams Street (in the old Burger King). Enterprise offers a variety of options for hourly, weekly or monthly rentals. Open Monday – Friday 7:30 – 6:00, Saturday 8:00-2:00 and Sunday Noon – 4.
