IONNA Rechargery — Coming Soon

Apex will soon be home to the first IONNA “rechargery” site in North Carolina. IONNA is a joint venture of eight automakers (BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Stellantis, and Toyota) creating innovative EV charging stations with a focus on providing a first-class customer experience. The Rechargery will be located in the historic gas station as you enter the downtown district. Work is being done on the old gas station to include 10 covered parking bays; an indoor lounge with restrooms, coffee service and snacks; and WiFi among other work-while-you-wait amenities.
The Cranky Yankee — Now Open

In the familiar sweets spot across from Anna’s Pizzeria you’ll now find The Cranky Yankee – a New York-style Italian bakery. They’re open Thursdays (10 a.m.-7 p.m.), Fridays and Saturdays (10 a.m.-8 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), and they have all the goodies, including gluten-free options. Roberts Road Commercial Center — Proposed

A minor site plan has been submitted for two buildings on approximately four acres at the intersection of Roberts Road and Green Level Church Road. Each building is expected to be 15,000 square feet with a 102 parking spaces. The proposed use is described as “neighborhood commercial.”
Blaine’s Barbershop — Now Open

Blaine’s Barbershop of Holly Springs has opened a new location in Apex. This classic barbershop offers all the usual styling options for men, women, and children, plus men’s old-school hot towel shaves, beard trims, and more. Bear Hands Gifts, Workshop, and Studio — Now Open

Now open in one of Downtown Apex’s historic homes is Bear Hands, owned by Apex resident Kayla Albertson. Based on her nickname, K Bear, this shop features jewelry and accessories, a signature line of candles, and gifts of all kinds. The Look Salon Suites — Proposed

This former car wash site could get a makeover in preparation for becoming The Look Salon Suites. Early plans include an 8,370-square-foot building divided for retail, barber or beauty salon space, and health/fitness/spa space.
