Have you seen the Town of Apex website, www.apexnc.org, lately? Like our municipality, the website has grown considerably and is worth exploring. You’ll find an impressive amount of transparency, up-to-date announcements, colorful infographics and easy-to-follow icons, photographs of our leaders and protectors in action, interactive maps, and simply a ton of useful information and helpful details.
Mobile Apps:
Apex Connect has it all—a calendar of town events, emergency contacts, festival details (including links to purchase tickets), program guides for athletics, forms for reporting everything from graffiti to street light outages, and much more. Intuitive icons link to mobile-friendly pages of the Town of Apex website where you can find answers to any question you might have about what’s happening in our town.
Apex Collects is your mobile link to the collection of garbage, recycling, and yard waste. Wondering if the Labor Day holiday will delay your trash pickup? Curious about whether or not that pizza box can be recycled? Planning on raking leaves to the curb in time for the next yard waste collection? Apex Collects has the answers.
Apex Outage is the app to use for all things utilities-related. Whether it’s water, sewer, or electric, you can report problems, manage your account, pay a bill, and even see a map of current power outages in our area.

E-News Subscription
If mobile apps and social media don’t keep you connected enough, you can receive emails or text messages from a variety of Town of Apex departments about a wide range of information through their free eNews subscriptions. Simply go to the Town of Apex website at www.apexnc.org and click on “Stay Notified” in the blue box on the far left. Type in your email address and then select which items you wish to receive news and updates about.
I encourage every Apex resident to check out the website (www.apexnc.org) and find ways to stay connected to town events and notifications. ‘Knowledge is power,’ they say, so before you’re tempted to whine because your garbage buggy is damaged, complain that there’s nothing to do, or gripe about having nowhere to charge your electric car, go online. The information you will find might just surprise you. And when it does, take a moment to send some feedback to our leaders and protectors and tell them how much you appreciate all they do to keep our town “The Peak of Good Living.”
