If you could write one law for Apex, what would it be?
I’m not sure I think our Apex Police Department is amazing and they keep us very safe.
What restaurant has your go-to meal, and what is it?
No. 1 China in the Harris Teeter Shopping Center. Love their Broccoli and Garlic sauce.
Where do you feel the worst traffic is, and how would you correct it?
Worst traffic is on Hwy 55 between Olive Chapel and the US1 entrance. The only fix I think is to widen it and that would be a nightmare, so I’m good with the traffic.
What is your favorite thing about Apex?
I love the sense of community we have in this town. I’ve seen it really grow over the last 17 years, but the sense of community and friendship has still remained.
What store or restaurant would you like to see come to Apex? Why?
I’d love to see an On the Border come to Apex. I love their food.
How do you feel Apex ranks on a scale of 1 to 10? If not 10, what would make it a 10?
I would actually give it a 10. I love it here.
What’s the best thing to come to Apex since you’ve lived here?
I’ve lived here a long time, so I remember how excited I was when Target opened.
Is growth good or bad for Apex, and why?
I think growth is always going to happen whether we want it to or not. Apex has handled the very quick growth we have had very well. I think as we continue to grow we need to ensure we maintain the sense of community and small town feel.
Do you plan to move from Apex at some point?
No

If you could write one law for Apex, what would it be?
No more building!!
What restaurant has your go-to meal, and what is it?
If it’s quick, it’s Chick-fil-A, a chicken sandwich and waffle fries of course; with more time it’s Daniel’s Italian baked ziti
Where do you feel the worst traffic is, and how would you correct it?
Williams St/Hwy 55 – widening is probably the only way to improve traffic flow – but the railroad bridge complicates that.
What is your favorite thing about Apex?
Shops and Restaurants on Salem St (it helps me remember what Apex used to be like 15 years ago soon after we moved here)
What store or restaurant would you like to see come to Apex? Why?
I honestly think we have enough…but if I had to pick I would probably say a Zoe’s Kitchen; it’s just something different.
How do you feel Apex ranks on a scale of 1 to 10? If not 10, what would make it a 10?
I’d say an 8….while Apex still has its small town charm; we are simply just growing too fast to keep the 10 rating for me.
What’s the best thing to come to Apex since you’ve lived here?
Target and Costco
Is growth good or bad for Apex, and why?
I think Apex had its healthy growth…now it’s just too much.
Do you plan to move from Apex at some point?
No time soon…

How long have you lived in Apex?
It will be 16 years in May that we have lived here in Apex.
If you could write one law for Apex, what would it be?
You must participate in some type of charitable/service/donation of time project annually. If you aren’t out helping, coaching or serving someone else you are missing the true charm of this community.
What restaurant has your go-to meal, and what is it?
Since we have 3 active boys, our “go-to” meal is probably Chick-fil-A on a busy weeknight. If we have the opportunity for a quick date night, then we usually head to Peak City Grill or The Provincial. Good wine and charcuterie plate at either or try something new.
Where do you feel the worst traffic is, and how would you correct it?
At this moment, Old US 1 and Friendship Road area. With new homes being built at such a rapid pace and schools out there, it makes traffic a little crazy. Not sure how to correct.
What is your favorite thing about Apex?
I love its small town charm with quick access to Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
What store or restaurant would you like to see come to Apex? Why?
We would love another mattress store (KIDDING)!!! I love seeing our downtown thrive and the diverse shops we have. Supporting local is near and dear to my heart and would love for more small businesses to come.
How do you feel Apex ranks on a scale of 1 to 10? If not 10, what would make it a 10?
10. It is such a great area to raise children here and be a part of a community.
What’s the best thing to come to Apex since you’ve lived here?
We don’t have a favorite thing, rather a group of friends that have come here and called this town home as well. Our village is our best thing.
Is growth good or bad for Apex, and why?
Growth is always good if planned correctly.
Do you plan to move from Apex at some point?
No, we don’t plan to move, but we have learned, don’t say never!
