What started in the parking lot of Apex High School has become a premier arts & crafts festival that draws in families from all over Wake County to experience the Peak of Good Living for a day. What day, what event? PeakFest!
For 40 years Apex has been rolling out the welcome mat, offering attendees 8 hours of family fun.
If you’re looking for a way to enjoy your Saturday on May 2, without a huge dent in your wallet, then PeakFest should be on your calendar.
What’s the cost of admission? A smile; the pure joy of the unexpected—tickling all the senses of sight, taste, sound, smell and touch.
The event has something for everyone; featuring street performances, artist demonstrations, dancers, community sponsors, local mascots, kids’ zone with games and amusements, artisan booths, food trucks, 3 stages of free entertainment, featuring over 20 live performances including the popular local Peak City Sound.
Besides the fun of the event, the impact goes well beyond the day. Annually, the Festival Commission gives back to the community by awarding grants to local groups, putting over $350,000 back into the local community over the past 13 years. In 2019, the Festival Commission awarded 21 grants totaling over $16,000. This year’s recipients will be awarded at the main stage at noon.
Join us May 2 from 9am-5pm!
