Vicious Fishes:
2237 Old US 1. After taking over the former Rock Harbor space in Fuquay-Varina, Vicious Fishes is growing again, opening a new location in Apex.
Taproom and coffee shop opening in September. The Apex location will also feature an outdoor biergarten and patio space. There will be food trucks most nights.
Crossroads Truck Center:
At just under 5,000 square feet, Crossroads will be opening a truck center at 1402 North Salem Street. The lot will not be right on the corner of North Salem and Hwy 64, but will be behind the existing structures on the corner. It will be located on the east side of Salem Street, across the street from where the Crossroads Ford dealership is being built.
Lidl Supermarket:
Lidl is a store of a different kind. Although they’ve only been in the US since 2017, they have been around in Europe since the ‘70s. They opened in Germany in 1973, and started expanding outside of Germany in the 90’s. Lidl is very similar to the Aldi stores, which also got their start in Germany.
The Apex store is slated to be just over 29,000 square feet. The store will be at the SW corner of Apex Peakway and Laura Duncan Rd.
Williams Street Retail Center:
Chances are that you’ve noticed some dirt being moved at the NE Corner of Hwy 55 and Hwy 64. The new center offers 17,123 square feet of retail space, and is expecting to house seven different businesses. Based on the submitted plans, it looks like Mattress Warehouse will have the largest location at 4,060 square feet. Metro Diner will also be in the center. There is a Mediterranean restaurant, as well as a pizzeria and coffee shop. The occupants of the remaining two retail locations have not been disclosed yet.
Whole Brain Escape:
Whole Brain Escape is a locally-grown business in the heart of Apex, NC. The husband and wife team love games. They recently opened their escape room business in Apex.
All of our rooms and puzzles were conceived and built by Rafael. Heather is a veteran producer with over 20 years of experience in the video game industry. She’s led teams at Epic Games, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and Activision; most recently she was Senior Producer on Fortnite. Aside from Fortnite, she has worked on over 35 games, including Never Alone, Star Trek Rivals, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and several games in the Ghost Recon series.
Rafael is a video game writer and story designer; he’s worked for Sony, Sega, Ubisoft, Kabam, and Gameloft.
