K9 Resorts

K9 Resorts is coming to 1002 Investment Blvd in Apex. The 8,813 square-foot building will sit on .75 acres. The franchise is based in New Jersey, and has been around for 19 years. They boast stress-free care for dogs. The facility will offer boarding with luxury suites, executive rooms and traditional cage boarding options. Doggie daycare will also be available in cage-free environment.

Scratch Kitchen & Taproom

Located at 225 N. Salem Street, Scratch Kitchen and Taproom is now open. The ownership is a partnership between two restaurant families – Jeff and Meredith Kromenhoek and the ownership team of The Mason Jar Tavern and The Mason Jar Lager Company. Scratch is already open for dinner at press-time, and is scheduled to be open for lunch as well by the time you’re reading this.

According the one of the owners, the quality of food as well as experience are their top priorities. They will serve the same menu for lunch and dinner. All of the dishes will be made from scratch, including all dressings and ice cream! The restaurant will source local ingredients whenever they can, and bread will be delivered daily by Stick Boy Bakery in Fuquay-Varina. They will offer a kids menu with many healthy options.

Everbrook Academy

The Academy will be located at the southwest corner or Olive Chapel Rd. and Apex Peakway with an access point on Thistle Top Trail. The address is 1001 Olive Chapel Road. The building will be 11,727 square feet on 1.6 acres. The Academy is a daycare serving 120 students, with programs for infants through Pre-K, and a STEAM curriculum. It will offer hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math, to prepare children for elementary school. Opening Winter 2019

CrossRoads Ford

A new dealership for CrossRoads Ford is being built at the southwest corner of US 64 and N. Salem Street in Apex. There will be one building that will be over 167,000 square feet, and it will have two stories. This location is expected to replace the Cary location. The showroom will face Salem Street. They plan to make modifications to the intersection that will ease traffic there, as they know is already a problem. The total site acreage is just under 22 acres.

CrossRoads Ford was started in 1952 in Henderson, NC under the name Boyd Auto Sales. They opened the Cary location in 1996, which became the number two Ford dealership in the country in 2001. In June of 2006, it moved to the current location, which became the largest indoor Ford showroom in the world.
